7th June 2026 – Midlands Bonsai Society Annual Event (Supported by Redditch Bonsai Society)

On 7th June 2026, Redditch Bonsai Society will once again support the annual event organised by Midland Bonsai Society, held at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. This joint event has become a highlight of the regional bonsai calendar and continues to grow in strength and quality each year.

RBS has worked alongside Midlands Bonsai Society at this venue for several years, helping to build an event that showcases a wide range of bonsai styles, species, and levels of development. The event has improved year on year and has bounced back strongly since the Covid lockdown period, reaffirming its importance to the UK bonsai community.

In recent years, Redditch Bonsai Society has arranged special display areas within the exhibition, highlighting themed presentations and carefully selected trees. These displays have been well received and have helped raise the overall standard and visual impact of the event.

Due to ongoing changes at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, this may be the final year the event is held in the current Terrace Suite. That makes the 2026 exhibition particularly significant, and one that members and visitors are strongly encouraged to add to their calendars.

This event is open to the public and provides an excellent opportunity to see high-quality bonsai in a professional exhibition setting, meet members of multiple bonsai societies, and gain inspiration regardless of experience level.
